This Giving Tuesday, support a survivor who is ready to start an independent life.

This Giving Tuesday we are raising money to establish a Transitional Fund. This fund will be reserved for women and their children who are ready to transition out of Agatha Amani House and into their own independent lives.

Our mission is to empower victims of sexual and domestic violence and their children heal from their trauma and help them become self-sufficient. Starting over after experiencing trauma is not easy and our survivors need our support to ensure their transition from living at Agatha Amani House to living independent lives is successful. That is why we are seeking to establish a Transitional Fund. The Transitional Fund would be in place to help our survivors get back on their feet after they are ready to leave the shelter and start a new life. The money will help cover the cost of new housing, food supplies, hygiene supplies, baby products and more.

It costs an average of $129 to provide one of our survivors with new housing, food, and basic hygiene and baby supplies for one month. Every donation will not only make a great impact on the lives of the survivors who transition out of Agatha Amani House but also our ability to provide for our survivors. ​
