Following the rise of cases of the COVID-19 virus in Kenya, Agatha Amani House resolved to build mandatory quarantine rooms as one of our preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to enable continued recruitment of new survivors in view of the increase in violence cases during the pandemic. Part of the new house will also be used to house our volunteers and interns who are an important aspect of the shelter's operation.   “Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers at Agatha Amani House (AAH) and all mothers out there! We celebrate you all for being the shining example of bold women!” At AAH, we currently have more than 10 mothers and mothers soon to be, and 8 babies! Their love for motherhood is Boundless and Beyond the abuse and other challenges they have gone through. Running for their safety holding their children without forgetting them, all the way since conception to date is just heavenly!   Agatha Amani shelter is working hard to mitigate the impact of the climate crisis!
As part of our local small solutions, we are asking for donations to help us establish Food and Eco forests. The two forests will help in water conservation and reduction of the effect of greenhouse gases thus mitigating climate change plus being a demo site.
